By the ways I am taking most of my ideas from movies now a days. This movie is done by award winning actor about a character who kills people.
And why so fuzz about this thing? Is because first wave of brain-wash came with the printing press and second is motion picture. So if you think that you had first love because it was meant to happen you are wrong or you like Orio because its taste good then you are wrong.
In same line movies are making, faking and braking traditions daily. Bell bottoms is small one and every politicians being a rapist is big one.
So you got where I am heading.
I agree that there are numerous movies about such characters running on streets and running streets for killing business. However this particular movie have something peculiar about it. Or maybe something is peculiar about the audience.
There is a sense of connection the audience has made with the character and that my friend is a danger. Further the satisfaction thing is not confined to a particulate region which can be quarantined like we did for COVID-19 but its a global phenomenon.
Now the movie is about the person suffering from Pseudobulbar affect. Pathetic job, mistreated by most colleague except one. Company running out of business and the boss is irritated.
The masterstroke scene is ton heavy feet while returning home.
Significance? You all feel the same sometime in your life to a lessor degree. So immediate connection.
His mother who is taken care by him always speaks about Thomas Wayne as a Messiah who will take away all their misery. He met him and kicked out immediately.
He found out the Murray Franklin a TV anchor made fun of him while he expect that he will honor him one day on his stage. Like people believed that one day Kapil Sharma himself will invite them to his show.
And finally he came to know that his mother is the reason he had his mantel condition. To add spice he realized that his girlfriend exists in his brain.
This happened to him. What happened to city? When he killed three shit heads in subway himself been decorated as a joker people realized the liberating force in a mask. The city land into chaos as people wear mask became volunteer outlaws. You will find no connection in this part.
Now the part which makes your emotion bleed and brain go cycling.
The Joker is invited to Murray's show. He killed him on his stage. People on street rejoice as he reveled that he killed three people in subway. Some stupid joker killed Thomas Wayne clear path for the son to become batman. Joker stand on a car with blood smile.
Here you have a strong connection because
One) Heather Ledger did marvelous job in Batman movies following which he died. End result a never ending fame for the character.
Two) The dark knight was hit and most of us have seen it.
So, in nutshell when you watch this movie your knowledge will play with your emotions leads to lasting impact.
I agree that the movie is one of the best technically. Performance of actors is no doubt is out of the world.
Then where is the problem?
