It was only after a very long time I took a flight, to Jodhpur, an ATR which
time to time give a feel of a kite but mostly flew like a bullock cart. Even
though the sky was clean but the pilot was in mood of connecting all the dots,
white dots, clouds. In short the flight was bumpy and being confined to a small
cabin is also not very good experience.
What pleasant was the feather light white islands travelling on
rectilinear canvass called ground. High above in sky, which was 16000 feet as
per the Guytundey (pilot), these clouds are scattered like big bloats floating on a sea
with sea-floor clearly visible but when you almost like pass through them you
will feel like you can jump on them and they will make you bounce.
Anyway flight was short, sweet, bumpy and I took a flight after a long time
so was required. With a keen interest on the city structure and arrangements which
I was observing from sky I got an impression of neatness of Rajasthan. A guy sitting next to me was studded in his
ear and very neatly had his haircut and though he must belong to rural Rajasthan
whatever he had was crisp, from behavior to cloths. Is this giving the
impression that Rajasthan is a neat state in whole? This made me went down to
the definition of neatness which states that it’s organized or without water (That’s
right but Whisky??). What a clumsy idea Arun??
Anyways the Jodhpur city while I was travelling on a cab
found to be very neat and clean. And the best part is the heat about which my
juniors used to boast about was actually pleasant in a way. If you observe very
closely then you will realize that summers in Delhi or any big city is like you
are sitting in steam cooker and slowly the air is roasting you along with chillies
and turmeric powder. This might because of pollution but in a place like Rajasthan
where there is no pollution you will drink and sweat cleaning your blood with a
possible side effect of skin tan, headache, irritation and frustration. But I
believe these are your personal choice as stated by a great soul that “Pain is
inevitable, but suffering is optional”.
People here have their own way to adopt. I saw 3 peasant
looking men sitting in a shade of a car. That was very narrow place to sit and
then I realize that in place like Rajasthan you won’t find plenty of shade as
trees are very lightly branched and leaves are less in number making the shade
a combination of various small shade and bright chunks. Hence they are already
accustomed to such places.
And it is green trust me it is green all over Rajasthan. I do know why I am saying that and this thing is quite easy to grasp. There
is not much difference between Gurgaon and any place in Rajasthan as it
appears. But if you go in depth then you will realize there is a huge
difference on the contrary to obvious differences. The soil in Gurgaon is loamy
but Rajasthan is sandy, Rainfall is more in Gurgaon, water table is more and
well that was too technical. In short Vegetation in Rajasthan is healthy gives
a impression of eye catching green while things in cities are diseased and
dying rest else appears same.
This place resembles carpet of sand spread all over the
place and small trees that comes out of few openings in it. Slender body of
trees tells the story of water stressed land. The uniformity of spotless sand
spread mesmerises the visitors who tend to be careful walking on such floor. Aakoon
a plant species with white stem and leaves at the end of each as if inverted
silver chandelier with green bulbs protruding out of ground. Khejadi is a tree
which is relatively green and each tree is placed carefully at a particular
distance. My analysis is that they are draining water out of ground and that
need a proper planning while taking care of water reservoir management. Again a
clumsy idea and must be coming because of high temperature. Aarana is a wood
used as a fencing and this fence will give you best example of housekeeping in
whole world as every peace of wood or stone is so adjusted in the fence that a
second look will give you an impression of pitra dura. The dried up, aarana
sticks are made to stand in many inche thick circle with a bunch passing
through their waist making woven wall. This thing is used people here to fence
their home. Kair is a thorny bush which
is of dark green colour as in MS word. Kair is used to make pickle and many
other courses. Rohira wood is of high economic value which can be used in
construction of doors, doors of Rajasthan which seems preeti open to me. Well I will talk about this later on. (Om
Prakash)
Well when talking about funa I found Sheep which I had an
impression of a animal of cold places. The long hair must be making them
sweating to death. What else can be said if we are talking about a peacock and
deer in such a scattered woods with absolutely no water. I believe that last
time I saw a peacock in delhi was 15 years back. Remember I told living things
here are healthy, well I was talking about animals also.
Suddenly I wonder while travelling that there are no village
in here and Om Prakash sitting next to me gave me an idea about the settlement
here. He said that a family owns a hut here and it always be placed nearby the
agricultural field. This individual unit is self sufficient in itself and next
unit might be far off or nearby independent of each other. This is not like
other indian places in India where you find a dense settlement which make you
keep your steps in air.
Woman here wear rings in there upper arm which is made up of
plastic now a days. But few rich people wear gold or silver rings but both of
these are replacement of ivory used prior to fucking plastic innovation of
mankind. Turbans are huge giving a grand look to even a ultra-slender people here
and the colour is either white or red.
When it comes to people I must say this is a place with work
ethics. I have seen people saying that they are not professional and they need
to be a real professional. The Marwari people are in real professional and a
huge respect for their commitments. They are more advance then any of western
country people provided a minimum of chance. The guy Om Prakash who is a driver
knows that what is a rotary table and COFOR220 is fully automatic with a touch
panel. He knows that Modi promised 300MW of electricity to UP and in actual he
provide 375MW. And all this he know while he has taken class till 10th
only. I Marwari also was blocking a road leading to JE-29 as he did’t get the
benefits promised and he know how to get it. I barely able to make him
understand that I am only an engineer and I can’t help you.
When I visited Tripura I found people there very dull and
disinterested towards work. They are least interested in fulfilling the
commitments but high on booze and women. Rajasthani people to an extent feel
these things as materialistic and unimportant.
And this is not a sea of sand with wave and ripples. Only few
spots here are like that and rest is good to see once in life.
And yes doors of Rajasthan are big wide and open to all. Welcome :-)
